Description
Delicious and easy-to-make Banana Nutella Puff Pastry Crescents that combine the rich flavors of Nutella and fresh bananas wrapped in flaky puff pastry.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, if frozen)
- ½ cup Nutella (or any hazelnut spread)
- 2 bananas (sliced into small rounds)
- 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
- 2 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
- Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
- Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
- Cut into 8 triangles (like you would for croissants).
- Place a spoonful of Nutella near the wide end of each triangle.
- Add 1–2 banana slices on top.
- Gently roll up each triangle from the wide end to the tip, tucking in the sides to seal.
- Place crescents seam-side down on baking tray.
- Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
- Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
- Serve warm for the best gooey Nutella-banana combo.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate hazelnut spread.
- Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling out.
- These crescents are best enjoyed fresh out of the oven.
