Description

Delicious and easy-to-make Banana Nutella Puff Pastry Crescents that combine the rich flavors of Nutella and fresh bananas wrapped in flaky puff pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry (thawed, if frozen)
  • ½ cup Nutella (or any hazelnut spread)
  • 2 bananas (sliced into small rounds)
  • 1 egg (beaten, for egg wash)
  • 2 tbsp sugar (for sprinkling)
  • Powdered sugar (optional, for dusting)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 200°C (400°F). Line a baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface into a rectangle.
  3. Cut into 8 triangles (like you would for croissants).
  4. Place a spoonful of Nutella near the wide end of each triangle.
  5. Add 1–2 banana slices on top.
  6. Gently roll up each triangle from the wide end to the tip, tucking in the sides to seal.
  7. Place crescents seam-side down on baking tray.
  8. Brush with beaten egg wash and sprinkle lightly with sugar.
  9. Bake for 15–18 minutes, until golden brown and puffed.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar if desired.
  11. Serve warm for the best gooey Nutella-banana combo.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate hazelnut spread.
  • Make sure the puff pastry is fully thawed before rolling out.
