Description

Soft, creamy vanilla-white chocolate truffles tinted a frosty winter blue and rolled in sparkling sugar for a snow-kissed finish. They melt on the tongue and look like Christmas magic on a dessert tray.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 2 cups powdered sugar
  • 2 cups white chocolate chips, melted
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 23 drops blue gel food coloring (don’t use liquid)
  • Coarse sanding sugar, white
  • Optional: fine granulated sugar for “frost” sparkle
  • Optional: edible white glitter / luster dust

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Base: In a bowl, beat cream cheese until extremely smooth. Add powdered sugar gradually and mix until creamy. Fold in melted white chocolate and vanilla. Add blue gel coloring, starting with 1–2 drops and adjusting to your perfect winter shade. The mixture should be thick like soft dough — if too soft, chill 15–20 minutes.
  2. Roll the Truffles: Scoop and roll into 1–inch balls. Place onto parchment-lined tray.
  3. Coat in Snow Sugar: Roll each truffle generously in coarse sanding sugar. If you want extra sparkle, double roll: First granulated sugar, then sanding sugar, then dust with edible glitter.
  4. Chill: Chill at least 1 hour before serving for the perfect texture.

Notes

  • Ensure the cream cheese is at room temperature for easier mixing.
  • Adjust the amount of blue gel food coloring to achieve your desired shade.
  • For a more festive look, consider using edible glitter.
