Description

Golden, pan-fried flatbreads stuffed with stretchy melted cheese and herbs. Crispy on the outside, fluffy inside, and irresistibly cheesy with every bite!


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp olive oil (plus extra for cooking)
  • ¾ cup warm water (adjust as needed)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese (or mix with cheddar/provolone)
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tbsp butter, melted (optional, for extra richness)
  • ½ tsp garlic powder (optional, for flavor)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir in olive oil and warm water until dough comes together. Knead 5–6 minutes until smooth. Cover and rest for 30 minutes.
  2. In a bowl, combine shredded cheese, parsley, butter, and garlic powder.
  3. Divide dough into 4–6 pieces. Roll each into a small circle. Place cheese mixture in the center, fold edges over, and seal. Roll gently into a flat disc.
  4. Heat a skillet over medium heat with a drizzle of olive oil. Cook each flatbread 2–3 minutes per side until golden brown and crispy, with cheese melted inside.
  5. Slice and enjoy warm, with extra herbs sprinkled on top.
