Description

Cheesy Cheeseburger Pockets are a delicious and easy-to-make snack filled with ground beef, cheese, and savory seasonings, all wrapped in flaky pastry.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp yellow mustard
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 sheet puff pastry (or refrigerated pie crust), thawed
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • 1/4 cup shredded cheddar or mozzarella (for topping)
  • Fresh parsley, finely chopped (for garnish, optional)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then add onion and garlic; sauté until fragrant.
  2. Stir in ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for 2–3 minutes, then remove from heat. Stir in shredded cheddar and mozzarella while still warm to melt slightly. Set aside to cool.
  3. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Roll out the puff pastry and cut into 4–6 equal rectangles or circles.
  4. Spoon 2–3 tablespoons of beef filling into the center of each piece. Fold the dough over the filling and press edges with a fork to seal.
  5. Brush tops with egg wash and sprinkle with extra cheese.
  6. Place on a parchment-lined baking tray and bake for 15–20 minutes, or until golden brown and puffed.
  7. Sprinkle with chopped parsley and serve warm with ketchup, burger sauce, or creamy garlic dip.
