Description

A delicious and cheesy pull-apart bread infused with garlic and herbs, perfect for sharing.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 large loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or French bread works best)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar (or provolone for extra meltiness)
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Place bread on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, cut deep diagonal slits into the loaf in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to slice all the way through.
  3. In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Gently pull apart the bread sections and spoon or brush garlic butter into all the slits.
  5. Stuff shredded cheese into the slits, making sure it reaches deep inside.
  6. Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
  7. Uncover and bake another 10 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and top is golden.
  8. Sprinkle with extra parsley, place on a wooden board, and serve warm.
