Description
A delicious and cheesy pull-apart bread infused with garlic and herbs, perfect for sharing.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 large loaf of crusty bread (sourdough or French bread works best)
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ cup shredded cheddar (or provolone for extra meltiness)
- ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 1 tsp dried oregano (optional)
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp black pepper
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Place bread on a cutting board. Using a serrated knife, cut deep diagonal slits into the loaf in a crisscross pattern, being careful not to slice all the way through.
- In a small bowl, combine melted butter, garlic, parsley, oregano, salt, and pepper.
- Gently pull apart the bread sections and spoon or brush garlic butter into all the slits.
- Stuff shredded cheese into the slits, making sure it reaches deep inside.
- Wrap the loaf loosely in foil and bake for 15 minutes.
- Uncover and bake another 10 minutes, until cheese is fully melted and top is golden.
- Sprinkle with extra parsley, place on a wooden board, and serve warm.
Notes
- Perfect for pulling apart with your hands and dipping into marinara or ranch!
