- 200 ml (¾ cup) heavy cream (chilled)
- 150 g (¾ cup) cream cheese or mascarpone
- 3 tbsp powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- ½ cup cherry jam (or cherry compote, swirled in)
- 8 slices soft white bread (or cherry swirl bread for a marbled effect)
- 12–16 fresh cherries (pitted)
- Extra cherry jam (for spreading)
Instructions
- Make the Cream Filling: In a bowl, whip the heavy cream until soft peaks form. In another bowl, beat cream cheese/mascarpone with powdered sugar and vanilla until smooth. Fold in the whipped cream gently. Swirl in cherry jam lightly — don’t overmix (you want visible streaks).
- Assemble the Sandwiches: Spread a thin layer of cherry jam on 4 slices of bread. Pipe or spoon a generous amount of cherry cream filling on top. Place 3–4 cherries inside each sandwich. Top with another slice of bread.
- Shape & Serve: Trim crusts if you want a neater look. Cut sandwiches diagonally into triangles. Serve chilled for the best flavor and texture.

- Adjust the sweetness of the cream filling by varying the amount of powdered sugar.
- For a marbled effect, use cherry swirl bread.
