Scale
  • 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
  • 8 oz (225 g) dark or semi-sweet chocolate, chopped
  • 1 cup (200 g) granulated sugar

  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ¾ cup (95 g) all-purpose flour
  • ¼ cup (25 g) cocoa powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 cup (170 g) chocolate chips (milk or dark)
  • ½ cup (120 ml) heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract (optional)
  • Fresh strawberries
  • Chocolate truffles or Ferrero Rocher-style candies
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line an 8×8-inch (20×20 cm) baking pan with parchment paper.
  2. Melt butter and chocolate together in a saucepan or microwave; stir until smooth.
  3. Whisk in both sugars, then add eggs and vanilla.
  4. Sift in flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Mix gently until combined.
  5. Pour into the pan and bake for 25–30 minutes, until set but still fudgy.
  6. Cool completely, then cut into bite-sized squares.
  7. Heat heavy cream in a small saucepan until just about to boil.
  8. Remove from heat and pour over chocolate chips.
  9. Let sit for 1–2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  10. Add butter and vanilla extract; mix until glossy.
  11. Pour into a serving bowl and keep warm.
  12. Place the fondue bowl in the center of a large round platter.
  13. Arrange brownie bites in a ring around it.
  14. Add fresh strawberries on top or between brownie layers.
  15. Surround the outer ring with chocolate truffles for extra indulgence.
  16. Dust lightly with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • Ensure brownies are completely cooled before cutting for clean edges.
  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Feel free to add other fruits or snacks for dipping.
