Delicious and fun Cookie Monster Cinnamon Rolls that are perfect for any occasion!
Ingredients

- 240 ml (1 cup) warm milk
- 2 ¼ tsp (1 packet) active dry yeast
- 50 g (¼ cup) sugar
- 75 g (⅓ cup) unsalted butter, softened
- 2 large eggs
- 500 g (4 cups) all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp salt
- Blue gel food coloring (to get Cookie Monster blue)
- 100 g (½ cup) brown sugar
- 2 tbsp ground cinnamon
- 75 g (⅓ cup) butter, softened
- 120 g (4 oz) cream cheese, softened
- 60 g (4 tbsp) butter, softened
- 200 g (1 ½ cups) powdered sugar
- 2–3 tbsp milk
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Crushed chocolate sandwich cookies (Oreos)
- Extra mini cookies or cookie halves
Instructions
- In a bowl, mix warm milk, yeast, and sugar. Let sit 5–10 minutes until foamy.
- Add butter, eggs, and blue food coloring. Mix well.
- Add flour and salt, knead until smooth and elastic (about 8 minutes).
- Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise 1–2 hours until doubled.
- Mix brown sugar and cinnamon in a bowl.
- Roll out dough into a rectangle (about 14×18 inches).
- Spread softened butter over dough.
- Sprinkle cinnamon sugar evenly on top.
- Roll dough tightly into a log.
- Cut into 12 even rolls.
- Place rolls in a greased baking dish.
- Cover and let rise again for 30–40 minutes.
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
- Bake rolls for 22–25 minutes, until golden but still soft.
- Cool slightly before glazing.
- Beat cream cheese, butter, powdered sugar, vanilla, and milk until smooth.
- Drizzle glaze generously over warm rolls.
- Sprinkle with crushed Oreos and top with cookie pieces for the full Cookie Monster effect.
Notes
- Ensure the milk is warm, not hot, to activate the yeast.
- For a more intense blue color, add more blue gel food coloring as desired.
- These rolls are best served warm and fresh.
