- Blue gel food coloring (use enough for a vivid Cookie Monster blue)
- ¾ cup (130 g) white chocolate chips
- ¾ cup (130 g) semisweet chocolate chips
- 6 Oreo cookies, coarsely chopped
- 6 mini chocolate chip cookies (like Chips Ahoy), coarsely chopped
- Extra Oreo halves and mini cookies for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Line baking sheets with parchment paper.
- Cream together butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy (about 2–3 minutes).
- Add eggs and vanilla extract; mix until smooth.
- Add blue gel food coloring — start with ¼ teaspoon and adjust until the dough is bright blue.
- In a separate bowl, whisk flour, baking soda, baking powder, cornstarch, and salt.
- Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients just until combined.
- Fold in white chocolate chips, semisweet chips, chopped Oreos, and mini cookies.
- Scoop dough into large 3-tablespoon-sized balls for bakery-style cookies.
- Press extra cookie chunks and Oreo halves on top for decoration.
- Chill the dough for 30–60 minutes (important for thickness).
- Place chilled dough balls 2 inches apart on prepared baking sheets.
- Bake for 11–13 minutes, or until edges are set but centers are still soft.
- Let cookies cool on the tray for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
