Description

Cotton Candy Grape Twist Ice Cream is a sweet delight that combines the flavors of cotton candy and grapes in a whimsical swirl treat.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 cups cotton candy grapes (seedless, halved)
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 tbsp grape jelly (for deeper swirl color)
  • Few drops purple or pink food coloring (optional)
  • Rainbow sprinkles, candy pearls, or popping candy (for toppings)

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine grapes, sugar, and lemon juice. Cook over medium heat until grapes burst and mixture thickens (about 10 minutes). Stir in grape jelly and cook 2 more minutes. Strain (optional) or leave chunks for texture. Cool completely.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar dissolves. Chill in the refrigerator for 2 hours or overnight.
  3. Pour chilled base into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency (20–25 minutes).
  4. Spread half of the churned ice cream into a freezer container. Spoon grape swirl on top and lightly marble with a knife. Add the rest of the ice cream and repeat with more grape swirl. Freeze for at least 4–6 hours until firm.
  5. Scoop into bowls or cones. Top with candy pearls, sprinkles, or popping candy for a whimsical carnival feel.

Notes

  • For a deeper color, add food coloring to the grape swirl.
  • Make sure to chill the ice cream base thoroughly for the best texture.
  • Feel free to customize toppings based on preference.
