A rich and creamy seafood lasagna that combines shrimp, scallops, and a luscious cream sauce, perfect for a special occasion or a comforting family meal.

- 1 lb (450 g) shrimp, peeled & deveined, chopped
- ½ lb (225 g) scallops or crab meat
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley, chopped
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- ¼ cup all-purpose flour
- 4 cups whole milk (warm)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- ½ tsp nutmeg
- ½ tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
- 12 lasagna noodles (oven-ready or boiled)
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella (extra for topping)
- ½ cup Parmesan cheese (extra for topping)
- Fresh parsley or basil, for garnish
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Add garlic, then shrimp and scallops. Cook 2–3 minutes until just pink. Season with salt, pepper, and parsley. Remove and set aside.
- In a saucepan, melt butter and whisk in flour to make a roux. Slowly whisk in warm milk until smooth and thickened. Stir in heavy cream, Parmesan, mozzarella, nutmeg, salt, and pepper. Simmer 3–4 minutes until creamy.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish. Spread a thin layer of cream sauce on the bottom. Layer as follows: Noodles, Ricotta cheese, Seafood mixture, Cream sauce, Mozzarella. Repeat layers until ingredients are used up. Finish with noodles, sauce, mozzarella, and Parmesan.
- Cover with foil and bake 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes until golden and bubbly.
- Rest 10 minutes before slicing. Garnish with fresh parsley or basil.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add more red pepper flakes.
- Ensure the seafood is fresh for the best flavor.
- Letting the lasagna rest before slicing helps it hold its shape.
