A rich and indulgent dessert that combines the classic flavors of Boston cream pie with a creamy cheesecake, topped with chocolate ganache and garnished with whipped cream and chocolate truffles.

- Crust
- 2 cups (200 g) graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, melted
- ¼ cup (50 g) sugar
- Cheesecake Filling
- 24 oz (675 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup (200 g) sugar
- 3 large eggs, room temp
- 1 cup (240 ml) sour cream
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Pastry Cream Layer
- 2 cups (480 ml) whole milk
- ½ cup (100 g) sugar
- 4 egg yolks
- 3 tbsp cornstarch
- 2 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Chocolate Ganache
- 1 cup (170 g) semisweet chocolate chips
- ¾ cup (180 ml) heavy cream
- Garnish (optional)
- Ferrero Rocher or chocolate truffles
- Whipped cream rosettes
- Chocolate shavings
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 325°F (160°C).
- Mix graham crumbs, sugar, and melted butter. Press firmly into the bottom of a 9-inch springform pan. Bake 8–10 minutes.
- Beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth. Add eggs one at a time, mixing lightly. Blend in sour cream and vanilla. Pour batter over crust. Bake 1 hr 10–15 min until just set in the center. Cool completely, then refrigerate at least 4 hrs (or overnight).
- In a saucepan, heat milk until steaming. Whisk yolks, sugar, and cornstarch in a bowl. Temper with hot milk, then return mixture to saucepan. Cook, whisking until thick. Remove from heat, stir in butter and vanilla. Spread cooled pastry cream over chilled cheesecake. Chill again.
- Heat cream until hot (not boiling). Pour over chocolate chips. Let sit 2 min, then stir smooth. Pour over pastry cream layer, letting some drip down the sides.
- Pipe whipped cream rosettes around edges. Top with Ferrero Rocher (or truffles) and chocolate curls.
Notes
- For best results, chill the cheesecake overnight before serving.
- Use high-quality chocolate for the ganache for a richer flavor.
- Feel free to customize the garnish with your favorite chocolates or fruits.
