Description

Festive Cranberry Cream Tartlets are delightful mini desserts featuring a crispy tart shell filled with a tangy cranberry mixture and topped with fluffy whipped cream, perfect for holiday celebrations.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package pre-made mini tart shells (or homemade pastry dough)
  • 1 egg wash (1 egg + 1 tbsp water, beaten)
  • 2 cups fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1 tsp orange zest
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water
  • 1 1/2 cups heavy whipping cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Holiday sprinkles (red, green, gold)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and brush tart shells lightly with egg wash.
  2. Bake for 8–10 minutes until golden and crisp. Let cool.
  3. In a saucepan, combine cranberries, sugar, orange juice, and zest. Cook over medium heat until berries burst and mixture thickens.
  4. Stir in cornstarch slurry and cook until glossy. Cool completely before filling tart shells.
  5. Whip cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla until stiff peaks form. Transfer to a piping bag fitted with a star tip.
  6. Fill each tart shell with cranberry mixture and pipe whipped cream swirls on top. Decorate with festive sprinkles.

Notes

  • For a homemade tart shell, use your favorite pastry dough recipe.
  • Ensure the cranberry filling is completely cooled before filling the tart shells to prevent sogginess.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the cranberry filling by adding more or less sugar based on your taste.
