Description

Soft, buttery rolls stuffed with juicy seasoned ground beef and gooey melted cheese, then brushed in garlic-parmesan butter and baked until golden. They’re savory, cheesy, irresistible, and the ultimate party or game-day snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 lb (450g) ground beef
  • ½ small onion, finely diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ tsp paprika
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ tsp black pepper
  • 12 mozzarella cheese cubes (or cut string cheese into chunks)
  • 1 can (12-count) refrigerated dinner roll dough or brioche slider rolls (unbaked)
  • 1 egg, beaten (egg wash)
  • 4 tbsp butter, melted
  • 1 tbsp freshly grated parmesan
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp parsley (fresh or dried)

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, cook ground beef + onion over medium heat until browned. Drain excess grease. Add garlic, Worcestershire, paprika, salt, pepper. Cook 1–2 minutes more. Let cool slightly.
  2. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Flatten each piece of roll dough into a small circle. Add 1 tbsp beef mixture + 1 cheese cube to center. Pinch dough closed tightly to seal. Place seam-side-down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  3. Brush tops with egg wash. Bake 12–16 minutes, until golden brown.
  4. Mix melted butter + garlic powder + parmesan + parsley. Brush generously over warm rolls. Sprinkle extra parmesan to finish.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add some diced jalapeños to the beef mixture.
  • These can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
  • Serve with your favorite dipping sauce for extra flavor.
