Description
Juicy chicken wings grilled until crispy and smoky, then glazed with a sweet-savory honey garlic sauce that caramelizes beautifully over the flames.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings, split and tips removed
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ cup honey
- 3 tbsp soy sauce
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (or apple cider vinegar)
- 1 tsp sriracha or chili flakes (optional, for heat)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil
- Sesame seeds (for garnish)
- Fresh parsley or green onions, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Pat chicken wings dry with paper towels. Toss with olive oil, paprika, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Let marinate for 20–30 minutes.
- In a small saucepan, combine honey, soy sauce, garlic, vinegar, sriracha, and sesame oil. Simmer 5 minutes until slightly thickened. Remove from heat.
- Preheat grill to medium-high heat. Grill wings 6–8 minutes per side until charred and cooked through (internal temp 165°F / 74°C).
- During the last 2–3 minutes of grilling, brush wings with honey-garlic glaze. Flip and brush again, letting the sauce caramelize.
- Transfer to a platter, drizzle with extra glaze, and sprinkle with sesame seeds and herbs.
Notes
- For extra heat, adjust the amount of sriracha or chili flakes to taste.
- Ensure wings are cooked to an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
- Marinating the wings longer can enhance the flavor.
