Description

Golden, cheesy quesadillas stuffed with seasoned beef and onions, served with all your favorite dips. A crowd-pleaser for parties, game nights, or family dinners!


Ingredients

  • 500 g (1 lb) ground beef
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, sliced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix)
  • ½ cup water
  • Salt & pepper to taste
  • 6 large flour tortillas
  • 3 cups shredded cheese (cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Mexican blend)
  • 2 tbsp butter (for frying, optional)
  • Guacamole (for serving)
  • Sour cream (for serving)
  • Salsa (for serving)
  • Pico de gallo (for serving)
  • Diced onions & cilantro (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add onion and cook until softened.
  3. Stir in garlic and ground beef, breaking it apart until browned.
  4. Mix in taco seasoning and water. Simmer until thickened. Set aside.
  5. Heat a large skillet or griddle over medium heat.
  6. Place a tortilla on the skillet, sprinkle cheese, add a layer of beef filling, then more cheese. Top with another tortilla.
  7. Cook until golden brown and cheese is melted (about 2–3 minutes per side). Repeat with remaining tortillas and filling.
  8. Cut each quesadilla into wedges.
  9. Arrange on a platter with guacamole, sour cream, salsa, pico de gallo, and diced onions.

Notes

  • Feel free to customize the fillings with your favorite ingredients.
  • For extra flavor, add jalapeños or bell peppers to the beef filling.
  • These quesadillas can be made ahead of time and reheated before serving.
