- 1 large pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- ½ tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp chili powder
- 1 lb ground beef (or chicken/turkey)
- 1 packet taco seasoning (or homemade mix: cumin, paprika, garlic powder, chili powder, salt)
- ½ cup water
- 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend (cheddar, Monterey Jack, etc.)
- 1 cup shredded lettuce
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- ½ cup diced red onion (optional)
- ½ cup sour cream (for drizzling)
- Fresh cilantro, chopped
- Jalapeño slices (optional for spice)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 450°F (230°C).
- Roll out pizza dough into a large circle or wheel shape.
- Place on a pizza stone or baking tray. Brush with olive oil, then sprinkle garlic powder and chili powder for flavor.
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat.
- Drain excess fat, then add taco seasoning and water.
- Simmer for 5–7 minutes until thickened.
- Spread taco meat evenly over the pizza crust.
- Sprinkle shredded cheese generously on top.
- Bake for 12–15 minutes, until cheese is melted and crust is golden brown.
- Remove pizza from oven. Let cool slightly.
- Top with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and jalapeños.
- Drizzle with sour cream and garnish with cilantro.
