Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups (180 g) all-purpose flour
  • ½ cup (100 g) sugar
  • ½ cup (115 g) unsalted butter, softened
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup (200 g) crushed chocolate cookies or brownies
  • 3 tbsp chocolate ganache or melted chocolate
  • 2 tbsp heavy cream
  • ¼ cup (50 g) granulated sugar (for rolling)
  • 1 cup (225 g) butter, softened
  • 3 cups (360 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 3 tbsp heavy cream (adjust for consistency)
  • 2 tbsp strawberry purée (or strawberry jam)
  • 2 tbsp melted white chocolate or vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F).
  2. Beat butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add egg and vanilla; mix well.
  4. Sift in flour, baking powder, and salt; fold until combined.
  5. Divide the dough into small muffin molds or mini tart pans.
  6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, until golden.
  7. While still warm, press the centers gently to create a shallow cup. Cool completely.
  8. Mix crushed cookies with ganache and cream until sticky and moldable.
  9. Shape into small balls and roll in granulated sugar.
  10. Chill until firm.
  11. Beat butter until creamy.
  12. Add powdered sugar gradually, alternating with heavy cream.
  13. Divide the frosting into two bowls: Mix strawberry purée into one for the pink layer. Add white chocolate or vanilla to the other for the white layer.
  14. Pipe alternating swirls of vanilla and strawberry frosting onto each sugar base.
  15. Place one truffle ball on top of each.
  16. Dust lightly with fine sugar or edible glitter for sparkle.
