These dream bars are layered heaven — a buttery peanut butter cookie crumb crust, a soft whipped peanut butter cream filling, and a glossy chocolate topping that melts in your mouth. No baking. No stress. Just pure, creamy, chocolate-peanut-butter bliss.

  • 2 cups peanut butter sandwich cookies, crushed (Nutter Butter or similar)
  • 5 tbsp unsalted butter, melted
  • 8 oz (225g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 ½ cups heavy cream, whipped or 1 tub whipped topping
  • 1 ½ cups chocolate chips (semi-sweet or milk)
  • ¾ cup heavy cream
  • 1 tbsp butter (for shine)
  • Optional: Whipped cream swirls, crushed cookies, chocolate curls

Instructions

  1. Make the Crust: Mix crushed cookies + melted butter until sandy. Press firmly into the bottom of an 8×8 inch or 9×9 inch dish. Chill while you make the filling.
  2. Make the Peanut Butter Cream Layer: Beat cream cheese + peanut butter until smooth. Add powdered sugar + vanilla — mix again. Fold in whipped cream (or whipped topping) until silky and fluffy. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
  3. Make the Chocolate Topping: Heat heavy cream until steaming. Pour over chocolate chips and let sit 1 minute. Stir until glossy and smooth. Add butter to finish the shine. Pour over peanut butter layer and smooth gently.
  4. Chill: Refrigerate at least 4 hours (overnight = perfect slice + clean layers).
  5. Finish: Garnish with whipped cream swirls or extra cookie crumbs.
