- 1 large green cabbage
- 3 tbsp olive oil (or melted butter)
- 3 cloves garlic, minced (or 1 tsp garlic powder)
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- ½ tsp onion powder
- Salt & black pepper, to taste
- Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 220°C (425°F). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Slice cabbage into thick 1-inch steaks (cutting through the core to keep them intact).
- Place cabbage steaks on baking sheet.
- Brush generously with olive oil or butter.
- Sprinkle with garlic, paprika, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
- Roast in preheated oven for 25–30 minutes, flipping halfway through, until edges are crispy and golden brown.
- Garnish with fresh parsley.
- Serve hot as a side dish or a light vegetarian main.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add a pinch of cayenne pepper.
- Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
