Description

Soft, chewy, and bursting with festive color, these Patriotic M&M Cookies are the ultimate easy treat for the 4th of July—or any red, white & blue celebration! Made with just 4 ingredients and a box of cake mix, they come together in minutes and disappear even faster. Perfect for parties, potlucks, or baking with kids. Fun, fast, and anything but boring!!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box white cake mix (15.25 oz)

  • 2 large eggs

  • ½ cup red, white & blue M&M’s

  • Patriotic sprinkles (optional but so fun!)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

  2. In a large bowl, combine the white cake mix and eggs. The dough will be thick—this is normal!

  3. Fold in the M&M’s and patriotic sprinkles until evenly distributed.

  4. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheet using a spoon or cookie scoop, spacing cookies about 2 inches apart.

  5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are just lightly golden and the centers look set.

  6. Cool on the baking sheet for 2–3 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Enjoy!

Notes

  • For extra visual pop, press a few M&M’s into the tops of the cookies right after scooping—bakery-style!

  • Don’t overbake! These cookies will continue to set as they cool.

  • Make ahead: Store baked cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days or freeze for up to 3 months.

  • Customize it: Try different holiday M&M colors to make this recipe year-round. Halloween, Christmas, Valentine’s—so many possibilities!

  • This dough does not require chilling—a true lifesaver when you’re short on time!
