A fun and delicious Pizza Tater Tot Casserole that combines the flavors of pizza with crispy tater tots, perfect for family gatherings.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef (or Italian sausage)
  • 1 cup pizza sauce (or marinara)
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 (32 oz) bag frozen tater tots
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • Optional: diced bell peppers, mushrooms, or onions for extra flavor

Instructions

  1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef (or sausage) until browned.
  2. Drain excess grease, then stir in pizza sauce, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning.
  3. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  4. Spread meat mixture evenly in the bottom of a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
  5. Sprinkle half the mozzarella cheese over the meat layer.
  6. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  7. Bake uncovered for 30–35 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
  8. Remove casserole from oven and sprinkle remaining mozzarella cheese on top.
  9. Add pepperoni slices evenly over the tots.
  10. Return to oven for another 5–10 minutes, until cheese is melted and bubbly.
  11. Garnish with extra Italian herbs or fresh parsley.
  12. Slice into squares and enjoy hot!
