Description

Salted Pretzel Brownie Sundae Cups are a delicious dessert combining the crunch of pretzels with rich brownie and creamy cheesecake layers, topped with caramel and whipped cream.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 ½ cups crushed pretzels
  • ½ cup unsalted butter, melted
  • ¼ cup sugar
  • 1 box brownie mix (plus eggs, oil, and water as directed)
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup caramel sauce
  • Flaky sea salt
  • Whipped cream (or frosting swirls)
  • Extra pretzel crumbs or mini pretzels for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar.
  3. Press firmly into the bottoms of a greased muffin tin.
  4. Mix brownie batter according to package or recipe.
  5. Spoon a small amount over each pretzel crust (about halfway full).
  6. Beat cream cheese, sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth (optional cheesecake swirl).
  7. Add a spoonful on top of each brownie cup, swirling lightly with a toothpick.
  8. Bake for 18–22 minutes, until set.
  9. Cool completely before removing from the muffin tin.
  10. Spoon caramel sauce over each cup.
  11. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt.
  12. Add a swirl of whipped cream or frosting on top.
  13. Garnish with extra pretzel crumbs or mini pretzels.

Notes

  • For a richer flavor, use homemade fudgy brownies instead of a box mix.
  • Ensure the cream cheese is softened for easy mixing.
  • Adjust the amount of caramel sauce and sea salt to taste.
