Description

Santa Hat Brownies are a festive and delicious treat perfect for holiday celebrations, combining fudgy brownies with fresh strawberries and whipped cream to create a fun Santa hat design.


Ingredients

  • For the Brownies:
  • Box brownie mix (easy & works perfectly) or
  • ½ cup (115g) unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 cup (200g) granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ⅓ cup (35g) cocoa powder
  • ½ cup (65g) all-purpose flour
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the Santa Hats:
  • Fresh strawberries (choose small–medium & bright red)
  • 12 cups whipped cream or frosting (piping consistency)
  • Decoration (optional, recommended):
  • Powdered sugar for dusting
  • White chocolate “snow” drizzle for extra cuteness

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Line pan with parchment, leaving edges to lift later.
  3. Whisk melted butter + sugar.
  4. Add eggs + vanilla and whisk until slightly thick.
  5. Sift in cocoa + flour + salt and fold gently — don’t overmix.
  6. Pour into pan and bake: 8×8 pan → 22–27 minutes (fudgy). Don’t overbake → center should still look soft!
  7. Let cool completely before cutting.
  8. Wash and pat strawberries very dry.
  9. Slice off green tops to create a flat base.
  10. Cut brownies into squares.
  11. Pipe a circle of whipped cream/frosting in the center.
  12. Press a strawberry upside down into the cream.
  13. Add a small dot of cream on top = Santa’s pom-pom!

Notes

  • Ensure brownies are completely cool before cutting to avoid crumbling.
  • Choose strawberries that are bright red for the best visual appeal.
  • Use a piping bag for a neat application of whipped cream or frosting.
