Description
Sausage, Egg & Cheese Breakfast Pinwheels are a delicious and easy breakfast option that combines savory sausage, fluffy scrambled eggs, and melted cheese wrapped in flaky crescent dough.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb breakfast sausage, cooked & crumbled
- 6 large eggs
- 2 Tbsp milk
- Salt & pepper, to taste
- 1 refrigerated crescent dough sheet
- 1–1½ cups shredded sharp cheddar
Instructions
- In a skillet over medium heat, cook sausage until browned and crumbly. Drain excess grease. Set aside.
- In a bowl, whisk eggs, milk, salt, and pepper. Pour into a skillet over medium-low heat, stirring until softly set (slightly undercooked since they’ll bake). Remove from heat.
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Roll out the crescent dough sheet on a lightly floured surface. Evenly layer scrambled eggs, sausage, and shredded cheddar over the dough.
- Starting from the long edge, roll the dough into a log. Slice into 1–1.5 inch pieces and arrange on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Bake for 15–18 minutes, or until golden brown and cheese is melted.
- Serve warm, optionally with salsa or hot sauce for dipping.
Notes
- For a spicier version, consider adding diced jalapeños or hot sausage.
- These pinwheels can be made ahead of time and frozen before baking.
- Serve with a side of fresh fruit for a complete breakfast.
