Description

Scoop of Heaven Trifle is a decadent dessert that combines layers of chocolate cake, creamy peanut butter, and whipped cream, topped with peanut butter cups and caramel sauce.


Ingredients

  • 1 box (9×13 inch) chocolate cake (homemade or boxed, baked & cooled)
  • 3 cups (720 ml) whipped cream (or Cool Whip)
  • 1 package (8 oz / 225 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup (120 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 cup (240 ml) cold milk
  • 1 package (3.4 oz / 96 g) instant vanilla pudding mix
  • 1 cup (250 g) peanut butter, creamy
  • 1 cup chopped peanuts (salted or honey roasted)
  • 2 cups chopped peanut butter cups (plus extra for garnish)
  • ½ cup caramel sauce (store-bought or homemade)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, beat cream cheese and powdered sugar until smooth.
  2. Add peanut butter and mix well.
  3. Slowly add milk and pudding mix, whisking until thickened.
  4. Fold in 1 cup whipped cream.
  5. Cut chocolate cake into cubes.
  6. In a large glass trifle dish, layer: chocolate cake pieces, peanut butter cream mixture, whipped cream, chopped peanut butter cups + peanuts.
  7. Repeat layers until dish is full.
  8. Top with a final layer of whipped cream.
  9. Garnish with extra peanut butter cups, peanuts, and a drizzle of caramel sauce.
  10. Refrigerate at least 2 hours before serving so flavors meld together.
