Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box strawberry cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box: eggs, oil, water)
  • 2 cups heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 package (8 oz / 226 g) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 20 Golden Oreos (or vanilla sandwich cookies)
  • 2 tbsp freeze-dried strawberries (or strawberry Jell-O powder)
  • 3 tbsp melted butter
  • Fresh strawberries, halved (for garnish)
  • Extra crushed Oreos (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Prepare strawberry cake mix according to package directions.
  2. Bake in a 9×13-inch pan, let cool completely.
  3. In a bowl, beat cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  4. Whip heavy cream until stiff peaks form, then fold into the cream cheese mixture.
  5. Spread evenly over the cooled cake.
  6. Crush Oreos and freeze-dried strawberries (or gelatin powder) in a food processor.
  7. Mix in melted butter until crumbly.
  8. Sprinkle generously over the cream layer.
  9. Top with fresh strawberries and extra Oreo halves.
  10. Chill for at least 1–2 hours before serving.

Notes

  • For a homemade cake base, use your favorite strawberry sponge recipe.
  • Ensure the heavy cream is well-chilled for best whipping results.
  • Feel free to adjust the amount of freeze-dried strawberries or Jell-O powder for desired flavor intensity.
