A classic layered dessert with a sweet and salty pretzel crust, creamy cheesecake-like filling, and a fresh strawberry topping. Perfect for summer gatherings, potlucks, or holidays.

- 2 cups crushed pretzels
- ¾ cup unsalted butter, melted
- 3 tbsp granulated sugar
- 8 oz (225 g) cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 8 oz (225 g) whipped topping (like Cool Whip)
- 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 package (3 oz) strawberry gelatin (Jell-O)
- 2 cups boiling water
- ½ cup cold water
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix crushed pretzels, melted butter, and sugar together.
- Press firmly into the bottom of a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- Bake for 8–10 minutes. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat cream cheese and sugar until smooth.
- Fold in whipped topping until light and fluffy.
- Spread evenly over cooled pretzel crust. Chill in the fridge while preparing topping.
- Dissolve gelatin in boiling water, then stir in cold water.
- Allow mixture to cool slightly (but not set).
- Stir in sliced strawberries.
- Pour strawberry mixture over the cream layer.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or until fully set.
- Garnish with extra whipped cream and pretzel pieces if desired.
- Slice into squares or wedges and enjoy chilled.
Notes
- Ensure the pretzel crust is completely cooled before adding the cream layer.
- For best results, let the dessert chill overnight.
- Can substitute fresh strawberries with other berries if desired.
