Description

A delightful twist on the classic tiramisu, this Strawberry Tiramisu features layers of creamy mascarpone, fresh strawberries, and ladyfinger biscuits soaked in a sweet strawberry syrup.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled & sliced
  • ½ cup (100 g) granulated sugar
  • ½ cup (120 ml) water
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 2 cups (475 g) mascarpone cheese
  • 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream, whipped to soft peaks
  • ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2428 ladyfinger biscuits (savoiardi)
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, thinly sliced
  • Powdered sugar, for dusting

Instructions

  1. In a saucepan, combine strawberries, sugar, water, and lemon juice.
  2. Cook over medium heat for 5–7 minutes until strawberries release juices and mixture thickens slightly.
  3. Strain to remove chunks (optional). Let cool.
  4. Beat mascarpone until smooth.
  5. Fold in powdered sugar and vanilla.
  6. Gently fold in whipped cream until light and fluffy.
  7. Quickly dip ladyfingers in cooled strawberry syrup (do not soak).
  8. Arrange a layer of dipped biscuits in the bottom of a dish.
  9. Spread a layer of mascarpone cream, then a layer of sliced strawberries.
  10. Repeat layers until dish is full, ending with cream and strawberries on top.
  11. Refrigerate at least 4 hours (preferably overnight) for flavors to develop.
  12. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.

Notes

  • For best results, use ripe strawberries for the syrup.
  • Allowing the tiramisu to chill overnight enhances the flavors.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the syrup to your taste.
