Description
Taco Ranch Bites are a quick and delicious party snack made with seasoned ground beef, cheese, and fresh toppings, all served in crispy phyllo shells or wonton wrappers.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb (450 g) ground beef
- 1 packet taco seasoning mix
- ½ packet ranch dressing mix
- ½ cup water
- 30 mini phyllo shells (or wonton wrappers, baked until crisp)
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese (or Mexican blend)
- 1 small tomato, diced
- ¼ cup chopped onion
- Fresh cilantro for garnish
Instructions
- In a skillet, brown ground beef over medium-high heat until fully cooked. Drain excess fat. Add taco seasoning, ranch mix, and water. Simmer 5–7 minutes until thickened and flavorful.
- If using wonton wrappers, bake them in a mini muffin tin at 375°F (190°C) for 6–8 minutes, until golden. If using phyllo shells, simply place them on a baking sheet (they’re pre-baked).
- Spoon the taco beef mixture evenly into each shell. Top with shredded cheese.
- Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 5–6 minutes, just until the cheese melts and bubbles.
- Top each bite with diced tomato, onion, and cilantro.
Notes
- For a spicier kick, add jalapeños to the filling or as a topping.
- These bites can be made ahead of time and baked just before serving.
- Feel free to customize toppings based on your preference.
