Tiramisu Brownies are a delicious fusion of classic brownies and the beloved Italian dessert, tiramisu, featuring a rich brownie base topped with a creamy mascarpone layer.

- 1 cup (225 g) unsalted butter
- 1 ½ cups (300 g) granulated sugar
- 1 cup (200 g) brown sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup (120 g) all-purpose flour
- 1 cup (100 g) unsweetened cocoa powder
- ½ tsp salt
- ½ tsp baking powder
- ½ cup (120 ml) strong brewed coffee (cooled)
- 250 g (9 oz) mascarpone cheese
- 1 cup (240 ml) heavy cream
- ½ cup (60 g) powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Unsweetened cocoa powder, for dusting
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 175°C (350°F). Line a 9×13 inch (23×33 cm) baking dish with parchment paper.
- Melt butter, then whisk in granulated sugar and brown sugar.
- Add eggs one at a time, then vanilla.
- Sift in flour, cocoa, salt, and baking powder. Mix until just combined.
- Stir in cooled coffee for a rich flavor.
- Spread batter evenly in pan and bake 30–35 minutes, until set but fudgy. Let cool completely.
- In a bowl, beat mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- In another bowl, whip cream until stiff peaks form.
- Gently fold whipped cream into mascarpone mixture.
- Spread mascarpone cream evenly over cooled brownies.
- Dust generously with cocoa powder.
- Refrigerate at least 2 hours before cutting into squares for clean slices.
Notes
- For best results, use high-quality cocoa powder.
- Make sure the coffee is cooled before adding it to the batter.
- Chilling the brownies helps the layers set properly.
