Description

A delightful and colorful ice cream treat inspired by tropical flavors, featuring swirls of mango, strawberry, and pineapple.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • ¾ cup sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pinch of salt
  • 1 cup mango purée
  • 1 cup strawberry purée
  • 1 cup pineapple purée
  • ½ cup passionfruit juice (optional)
  • Food coloring (pink, orange, yellow)
  • Chopped fruit jellies or gummy candies (for garnish)
  • Crushed Starburst pieces (optional, for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Blend mango, strawberry, and pineapple purées separately. Sweeten each with 2–3 tbsp sugar if needed. (Optional) Add a drop of food coloring to make each swirl pop. Chill until ready.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until smooth. Chill mixture for at least 2 hours.
  3. Pour the base into an ice cream maker and churn until soft-serve consistency. In a freezer container, alternate layers of ice cream with spoonfuls of mango, strawberry, and pineapple purées. Swirl gently with a knife for a marbled “starburst” effect.
  4. Freeze 4–6 hours until firm. Scoop into bowls or cones. Garnish with fruit jellies or crushed Starburst candies for candy crunch.
